The SkinCeuticals Micro-Exfoliating Face Scrub features a powerful 2% concentrate combination of hydrated silica, glycerin, and aloe extract to gently exfoliate, purify pores and support a strong skin moisture barrier.
The natural cell cycle for all skin types results in a layer of dead skin cells on the skin's surface, which if it's allowed to build up can clog pores, roughen skin texture and unbalance skin hydration. When this happens, the skin moisture barrier (outermost layer of skin) becomes compromised. A weakened skin moisture barrier can’t effectively protect skin from external stressors like pollution and irritants.
This exfoliating scrub for normal, oily, combination and dry skin types removes dead skin cells with the physical exfoliant hydrated silica. Once debris has been lifted and removed, glycerin (a humectant) and aloe vera extract help to re-establish hydration levels.
